Building Futures: Careers & Conservation

At SEES, we’re passionate about creating more than just buildings — we’re helping build brighter futures. As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, we actively engage with young people to inspire interest in construction, environmental stewardship, and future careers in the built environment.

Inspiring Young
Minds on Site

We regularly welcome local school groups and community organisations — including Cub Scout packs — to our live construction sites. These visits offer children a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience of how buildings take shape, while also learning about safety, teamwork, and the wide variety of roles involved in the industry.

Many Cubs who’ve joined us on site have earned their Environmental Conservation Activity Badge, learning firsthand how sustainability and environmental protection play a vital role in construction today.

School Outreach &
Career Talks

Our director and team members also visit secondary schools to talk about careers in construction — not just bricks and mortar, but also environmental planning, surveying, project management, and engineering. We aim to show students that the industry is full of exciting and varied opportunities for every skill set and background.

Work Experience &
Office Insights

For older students, we offer structured work experience placements in our office — giving them real exposure to how we operate day-to-day, from project planning to environmental strategy. It’s a fantastic way to connect classroom learning to future career paths.

Whether it’s helping a young Cub earn their next badge or supporting a student’s first steps into the working world, we believe in lifting the next generation — and showing them that construction can build more than structures. It builds futures.
